One player hosts and their browser runs the race; everyone else joins with the room code. Up to 7 players, and CPU racers fill the empty spots. Some strict networks (offices, schools, some mobile carriers) block direct connections.

Mode, map, CPU racers and their difficulty, stocks and Grand Prix are picked on the Race setup screen. Online, the host's race settings are used.
Graphics
Low turns off shadows and renders at a lower resolution, for slower computers.
Move your settings to another computer
The code holds everything on this screen, your key and controller layouts, your online name and your last race setup. Copy it (or save the file), then paste or load it on the other computer.
Controller buttons
Select a slot, then press the new button on your controller (Start cancels). Steering stays on the left stick and D-pad, and Start always pauses. Menus always use A to select and B to go back.
Keys
Click a slot, then press a key or click a mouse button (left, right, middle or side buttons). Esc cancels.
